While the counters and whatnot are polished and clean themselves, they're also covered end-to-end with familiar accoutrements- collars, toys, little bags for them to carry things in, things of this nature. There are also many other familiars going about the place, largely ignoring you. Crows, bats, foxes, ravens, snakes, cats. There are, I'm afraid, also some dogs, but they're well in the back of the shop, far from Dubnoom-range. They appear to be sleeping.

Taking the direct route as marked on Cabbage/Roswine's helpful map, brings you through the middle of the Grand Bazaar. It's loud, colorful, and confusing. Stalls, awnings, carts of every shape and size make a baffling maze with no obvious method of organization. Rag-pickers hawk their wares just yards away from sellers of fine Minkan silks. More food smells assail you, most of them of better quality than the ones you experienced at the Widdershins gate. Meat, cheeses, breads, fruits and more from all over the world.

Tak may not be a trained street magician (or maybe he is?), but he's proverbially quick on the draw and he knows how things go when you throw them. With some careful judging of the card's weight and aerodynamics, he's able to get it up his sleeve quickly enough that it appears to have vanished.
The, uh, trick of the trick that Neji was missing, is to carefully orient your arm so that you aren't trying to rotate and flick your fingers at the same time.
